Have you ever thought about how the cycle of a flower parallels our own cycle?

In the beginning of the flower’s life cycle the colors are strong + vibrant. And as it matures, that color begins to fade. It’s still beautiful but not in the way we’ve been programmed to appreciate beauty.

There’s incredible beauty in the fading but it’s just not as blatant and obvious.

It takes an opening of the mind or a paradigm shift to appreciate beauty in all its stages.

Just something to ponder. 😉

June says a lot of things to me - time to relax, time for new travel adventures, dinners al fresco, AND cherry clafoutis.

I’ve been making our friend Julia’s recipe for some 30 years now every June when I begin to see 🍒 at the markets. I’ve even memorized the recipe from Mastering the Art of French cooking, which is on page 655 in case you need it. It’s great for dessert and/or for breakfast.

I was recently asked WHY I do what I do.

The answer is simple.

I want to be part of the movement that is breaking down AGEISM. I want to help change the narrative around aging that women are NOT invisible once they hit 40. They ARE hirable at age 50+ and they are certainly DESIRABLE at all ages.

We need to change the stereotype that women are not valuable as they age and we need to break down the thinking that beauty only belongs to the young.

The way I am contributing to this is through the work I'm doing as a Style Coach. After 6 incredible weeks together my clients become what I call AGE AMBASSADORS.

An AGE AMBASSADOR is a woman who is :

💫 She is living in flow and on purpose.

💫 She knows how to express her true self through style and shows up as the best version of herself at each stage of her life.

💫 She does not get caught in a rut because she has the tools to adapt as life, her body, and/or her style change.

I think we owe it to the younger generations of women to set the good example!!!
