The month of October is the time of the year that we transition into the colder months. We put away our summer clothes and our more relaxed way of life. We go from being outside, on the go to a more cozy hibernating mindset of sorts.
The intention I have set for October is GROUNDING.
Grounding suggests reconnecting with yourself and home. It suggests rituals each morning to start your day like maybe meditating, journaling lighting a candle or reading before the day begins. It suggests connecting with loved ones on a personal level to know how they are doing. It suggests focusing on getting ourselves ready for the colder months and making sure we are prepared.

As far as grounding in my INTERIORS…
All I want is for my home to take care of me and comfort me during these colder months. I want my surroundings to comfort me with elements that display memories like photos, artwork found on recent travels, and also inspire and elevate me. Maybe that is a new furniture arrangement. Maybe it is a new color or wallpaper.
See below for my 5 Interior Styling tips this month.
Paint a room an inspiring color you’ve always wanted to try.
Replace your kitchen hardware for a more modern look.
Wallpaper a powder room to reflect your style personality.
Use an interesting fabric lampshade for an easy solution for adding color or pattern.
Here are a few of my favorite design books at the moment.
