GIFT IDEA 🎁 After spending some 40+ years tra GIFT IDEA 🎁

After spending some 40+ years traveling to Paris I have a wonderful relationship with the city.

I am constantly intrigued by her and fall more in love every time I walk along her streets.

Because many know me as a francophile and the daughter of a francophile, I am ALWAYS asked about my favorite hotels, restaurants, boutiques, parks, museums, etc.

To make it easier for you as you prepare for your next trip I have put together a guide called

MY PARIS HANDBOOK

This guide is perfect if you’ve never been to Paris (or have only been a few times) and need a trusted guide. I give you my insider tips as well as many of my favorite spots.

And, I have just updated MY PARIS HANDBOOK with all my new finds from from my 5 week sojourn this fall.

MY PARIS HANDBOOK can be purchased through the link in my BIO.

One thing you’ll appreciate about The PARIS HANDBOOK is how I have curated this list into suggestions that are a bit different from what you will find in most Paris Guides. I love to stay off the beaten path as much as I can so I can discover new things. I really despise formulaic traveling.

Of course, some mainstays are anchored in this HANDBOOK but my version of Paris will have you discovering a city that is not the blogger’s obvious ‘gotta go to because everyone else is’ kind of guide.

And, in the HANDBOOK, I have placed each suggestion on a map for your easy reference.

It is a very handy tool if you are planning a trip to Paris anytime soon. Or maybe a gift for someone who is. 🎁

(There’s also a mini guide you can download for free. See link in bio)

Enjoy!

MY AUTHENTIC STYLE PLAYING OUT IN AN INTERIORS MOO MY AUTHENTIC STYLE PLAYING OUT IN AN INTERIORS MOODBOARD

I had a wonderful conversation with a prospective client this week.

She wanted to know how she could feel secure with her style BOTH in her wardrobe and in her interiors.

I told her that when we’re unsure about our personal style and how we present ourselves we tend to find that uncertainty in our interiors as well.

I suggested creating a mood-board of everything that inspires her - fashion, interiors, art, architecture, colors, and traveling…

I find this exercise helps someone see the threads of what makes their style theirs.

It takes some time to see the threads but they’re there. Pay attention to the colors, textures, elements, and special nuances that appear. Those are clues to your overall style.

And, by the way, this is how to have authentic style vs copycat style.

My interiors mood-board is identical to my personal style mood-board. Because of my background and point of view, my style is about beauty in a textural, layered, creative, and high-quality but not precious kind of way.

I dress myself the same as how I create my interiors.

Do you have harmony between your personal style and your interiors?

If you would like to go on the journey of discovering your style then book a call with me by clicking the link in my BIO.

Well, that’s a wrap! My time in Paris has come t Well, that’s a wrap! My time in Paris has come to a close but I can safely say . . . A good time was had by all!!

Great conversations, wonderful food, countless boutiques, thousands and thousands of steps, numerous museums, so many new discoveries, and most of all a feeling of pride as I supported each of my clients in what is now their version of Paris.

There’s been quite a lot of interest from others wondering when I’ll be going again. I’m throwing around going twice next year - in late February and then in late October. I won’t be able to go again for 5 weeks each time so space will be limited.

If you’re interested, send me a message and we can have a conversation to see if this would be right for you.

Meanwhile, I’m updating my extensive Paris Guide which will be ready next week. Be on the lookout for that. Lots of goodies 🇫🇷

AGING INSPIRATION Being in midlife is just that. AGING INSPIRATION
Being in midlife is just that. It’s midlife. Midway.

The universal narrative has us believing that we should start shutting ourselves down and go out to the invisible pasture just because we have been fortunate to still be alive at the age of 45, 50, 55…

That narrative is so odd to me.

When I hit 45 / 50 I remember feeling guilty that I was aging. Guilty! Guilty that my body was showing signs of getting older. Wrinkles, sagging skin, muscle loss, white head of hair. How weird is that!

I wonder if you felt the same?

But once I beat cancer I looked at this with such humor. We are alive!!! And with our life’s experiences we have so much value to give. So much to share.

And, so much more to do.

If you’re feeling stuck or too comfy in your comfort zone, jump on a quest to grow.

What have you always wanted to do but didn’t think you could?

Nows the time!!

✨Save this post as a reminder to keep growing!!✨

HOW TO : accessorize with confidence To me, usin HOW TO : accessorize with confidence

To me, using accessories is what personal style is all about. It’s making decisions on what to add to an outfit that helps you express yourself in an authentic way.

Remember, style is a silent language. It’s how you tell the world who you are without ever having to use words. It’s also a terrific way to support how you are feeling each day.

Here are 3 tips to help you feel more confident when using accessories.

🧣Your personal style is really an accumulation of your life’s experiences. So look at your influences on your life. Bring those influences into your style by way of accessories.

💍 How do you want to feel today? Or what story do you want to tell? Accessories can help you tell that story.

👓 Buying accessories doesn’t have to be expensive. I personally have found my most favorite accessories while traveling at flea markets.

Save this post so you can remind yourself of the power of accessorizing.

COME WITH ME as I take myself to the ballet at the COME WITH ME as I take myself to the ballet at the Palais Garnier.

The night was beautiful so I walked from my apartment through the Place Vendôme and up the Avenue de l’Opéra.

I’ve toured the Palais Garnier but have never seen the ceiling in the performance hall that was painted by Marc Chagall in 1964.

To watch a Jerome Robbins ballet under this beautiful piece of art was . . . well, it was magical. ✨

I love being with people but there are times that I just love experiencing a night like this on my own. #solodatenight

WEDNESDAY MARKET Paris has so many wonderful neigh WEDNESDAY MARKET
Paris has so many wonderful neighborhood markets throughout the week. Each one specializing in different items.

I particularly love the simplicity of each market and try to frequent the ones I love throughout the week.

My favorite food market is on Wednesdays at Place Monge which is between the Sorbonne and the Jardin du Plantes in the 5th arrondissement.

There are a few vendors I love to talk with which is why I like to return each week.

It’s a sure bet that English will not be spoken so I use this outing as a lesson each time.

I can comprehend what is spoken (for the most part😬) but speaking it I find so challenging.

Putting myself in these situations is a great way to keep learning french. I refuse to think my 58 yo brain cannot become fluent one day!! #aginggoals
