The month of October is the time of the year that we transition into the colder months. We put away our summer clothes and our more relaxed way of life. We go from being outside, on the go to a more cozy hibernating mindset of sorts.
The intention I have set for October is GROUNDING.
Grounding suggests reconnecting with yourself and home. It suggests rituals each morning to start your day like maybe meditating, journaling lighting a candle or reading before the day begins. It suggests connecting with loved ones on a personal level to know how they are doing. It suggests focusing on getting ourselves ready for the colder months and making sure we are prepared.

As far as grounding in my LIFESTYLE…
Being in the kitchen and cooking for family and friends is very grounding for me. However, I am really missing entertaining. By not doing it makes me understand why I love it and understand what variables need to be in place in order to not only do it well but enjoy it in the process!!!
As we prepare for these colder months ahead, here are 5 ways you can keep your style fresh and current.
Fall is in the air which means a bounty of apples and pears. Do you have a favorite apple tart or cake recipe? Look through your cookbooks or favorite blogs for inspiration.
Learn about the art of making Calvados. This apple and sometimes pear brandy stems from the region of Normandie, France.
Be well-read, have a sense of humor, stay up on current events, and hone your conversation skills.
Know how to set the right atmosphere and make people feel welcome in your home.
Take a walk at that time between the end of your workday and before dinner. It’s a great transition if you are WFH.
