September is always a bittersweet time, in my opinion. It is full of transitions and contradictions. For instance, on some level, you’re sad summer is coming to an end. But on another level, you’re happy to see the heat and the unstructured nature of summer fade away. Adios!
Being in transition or in limbo can be difficult for some people. It feels unsettling and can create an underlying anxiety. But . . . before we know it, we shift into a new routine and are in the swing of everything this new season has to offer. My advice is to take advantage of each day as it comes and enjoy the rhythm of this month.

As far as your BEAUTY for this month . . .
This month I am focusing on wellness as we move into a new season. Many people have a hard time facing the end of summer and will miss the weather and that easier way of life. It conjures up anxiety for some so I want to share with you some tips for taking care of yourself as we head into fall and winter.

MY 5 FAVORITE BEAUTY TIPS
VITAMIN D.
Make sure you are getting enough Vitamin D – especially if you live in an area that has limited sunlight.
MINDFULNESS.
Sitting quietly and focusing on your breath is a wonderful practice to calm your anxiety. Doing this several times a day will help you get through your day with more clarity and ease.
10,000 STEPS.
Not only is cardio, strength, stretch and balance important for our health but movement is as well. Aiming to get 10,000 steps a day keeps our joints lubricated and keeps us from being too sedentary. Did you know being sedentary is the new smoking?
EPSOM SALT BATHS.
Taking a hot bath several nights a week prior to bed helps you relax and prepares you for a good night’s sleep. It’s a great alternative to being on a screen.
FRIENDSHIPS.
Having supportive friends is important to our wellbeing. Having friends who you can BE YOU around is the key.
