For the last few weeks in the AYIS INNER CIRCLE, we’ve been working on the foundations of style, namely the Cursory Wardrobe Edit.

The Cursory Wardrobe Edit is the type of edit that quickly removes the obvious items out of your wardrobe as opposed to the deeper dive done in a extensive Wardrobe Edit.

These are the items that obviously weigh heavily on you. You know the ones 😉

〰️ It might be an item that you’ve grown out of.
〰️ An item you spent too much money on but feel guilty giving away.
〰️ Maybe it’s the wrong color or the wrong style for you.

Removing these items helps you feel more inspired in your wardrobe and removes the heavy emotions.

We discussed in THE INNER CIRCLE this week about ways to process these items.

DATE NIGHT

I grew up in a golfing family. I was never really that into it, probably because my sister was so good and I felt it was her sport.

But, my father insisted I take lessons and know how to play. Like lessons and clinics alllll the time.

I didn’t play for a very long time but during Covid my husband and I picked it back up - also from a golfing family.

All I can say is thank goodness for all of those lessons because that muscle memory thing is real.

It’s great fun reconnecting with this past part of myself. It feels really grounding and ties me back to my family and all those memories.

The thing about aging, I find, is if we’re lucky enough to live a long time then our stories can come full ⭕️ and we get to find meaning in them.

This is why I find it a privilege to age.

HERE’S A USEFUL STYLE TIP :
It’s time to step out of your comfort zone and embrace your curves!

As we age, our bodies change, but that doesn’t mean we have to go hide in oversized moomoo’s. (Although I do love to wear them and find them chic if styled correctly).

I’m always inspired by how the Parisian women dress. They always have something going on at their waists no matter their size; a belt, a fitted dress, a belted jacket. Always something to make their outfit feel more pulled together.

IDEA :
Highlight your curves with a fitted dress or belted jacket that shows off your waist. If you are not used to wearing this, it will feel strange at first. But try taking a selfie in the mirror with the belt and without to see objectively which looks more flattering.

The A Year In Style INNER CIRCLE 🌟

I just opened the doors to my new Inner Circle Membership Group this week and I am thrilled to NOW announce this here on Instagram!

I created the Inner Circle because I often hear from women that they want to be in a community with other women who want to age with grace and intention. They want to feel empowered and inspired.

I also created it because my clients keep returning for more support and advice. I always say that style is ever-evolving. You don’t just discover your style and call it a day.

Who is the program for?

The INNER CIRCLE is for
* the woman who wants continuous support on her style and aging journey.
* the woman who wants to be in a community with other wonderful women who want to age as gracefully as she does.

She wants to join discussions and be inspired by other women on this journey.

What’s included?

* We will have BIWEEKLY calls where I will answer your questions as well as discuss various topics related to style, aging, and women’s issues. I’m also bringing on guest speakers.

* MONTHLY HOW TO STYLING VIDEOS to help you elevate your styling tips + tricks.

* I will create a shoppable moodboard with items we’ve been discussing depending on the season, or current look.

It’s a great opportunity to connect with other women in your stage of life who want to age as gracefully as you do.

And, because I know a lot of women do not like Facebook, I have to say that the Inner Circle is not on Facebook but rather its own site.

As you know, I held a 3-day Style Workshop this week and many women from the workshop have joined the Inner Circle and the group is filling up with women who are interesting + interested. I couldn’t be any more excited.
