March is the time of year when spring begins to emerge and we begin to shift our thoughts to wanting/needing everything to be warmer, prettier and quite frankly, easier.
We get excited about bringing FRESH FLOWERS into the house – although if you’ve been hanging out around me you know I think you should have fresh greens and/or flowers in your home year-round. We are giddy about a lighter and more COLORFUL WARDROBE and cannot wait to shed the heavy layers. We may try a more simple MAKEUP ROUTINE with fresher colors, or maybe we even go for a more modern haircut. And we most certainly begin to put our focus on our GARDENS no matter how large or small our patch of land is.
However you want to mark the change between the seasons, it’s a really good idea to take the month of March to plan ahead now so you are ready when that time comes next month (or more if you live near me).
As far as your LIFESTYLE, think about upcoming activities and what “might-be” in the coming months. Depending where you live your life might look different than others as far as the pandemic is concerned. I think making loose plans and penciling things in with the realization that this too may not happen will make you feel like life might be getting back on the rails. I certainly hope so!

MY 5 FAVORITE lifeSTYLE TIPS
March is typically the time we start making travel plans for the year ahead. As far as traveling, what a wonderful feeling to be able to travel again to some of your favorite spots. Where have you missed traveling to the most? Or what are you eager to see? Go there!!!!
How are your playlists? Do they need a refresh? Maybe anticipate your upcoming plans this spring / summer and create a few playlists for those. Discovering new music is one of the best rabbit hole scenarios I can think of. If you are on Spotify, check out my collections, AYIS Breakfast, AYIS Cocktail Hour
Did you make new year’s resolutions? Do you need to recommit to anything? Do you need a refresh and try something new? Do you need to commit to not making resolutions at the end of the year??
What can you do in the garden now to get it ready to look wonderful in a few weeks? Even if you have a small balcony garden, I have learned there is always something we can be doing to make our gardens better.
Do you need a bit of escape and inspiration? A controlled rabbit hole on Instagram to me is always a nice escape and a great way to see other corners of the world.
